Banana Series with Exercise Ball
Sit on your Exercise Ball and start to roll down the ball walking your feet out. Work towards laying over the ball. Place your hands behind your head as your roll backward on the ball, allow yourself to relax over the ball. Extend your arm straight back behind you and reach as tall as you can. Try to allow your head to rest on the ball. If you feel unsteady then you can keep your knees bent and stretch your arms. Or you can keep your arms behind your head and stretch your legs out. Work towards arms and legs outstretched and back relaxing over the ball. Slowly come out of this position so your body tolerates that big stretch well.This is a good exercise to reverse the flexion positions we spend so much of our day in. Option: If the ball is too much, modify by laying over a pillow that is at lower shoulder blade height.
