Standing Balance Series with Reaching
This series starts with standing and reaching and moved to reaching while standing on a balance cushion or couch cushion. You will noticed that add it starts to add head turns and utilizing a ball which increases the challenge on your balance. Start standing and hinge at your hips reaching forward as far as you can. You can stagger your stance as well. Progress toward rotating your trunk from side to side. Now it's time to add a balance pad or couch cushion, if you feel safe. Raise up on your heels. Now it's time to grab an object and take if from an outstretched arm and move over head to your other hand. Watch it if you can, but it you are too unsteady start by keeping your eyes forward. Once you have that try doing it on one foot.
