Standing Balance Series

Stand with feet hip width apart. This series adds gentle challenge. Move feet close. If you can hold it 20-30 seconds then move on to the next position. Staggered stance as far apart as you are comfortable. Next challenge would be tandem standing. As you progress through the positions you can add a challenge by turning your head side to side. Now bring your feet back next to each other and raise up on your toes and try and hold it. Next, try it standing on your heels with your toes up. Remember look side to side for an added challenge. Final two moves are single leg standing positions. First hold your knee up into a march position. Lastly, from your starting position curl your heel toward your butt and hold it.
